Madhya Pradesh/Uttar Pradesh: Marriage is often seen as the beginning of a new chapter in life, but for many women, it is also a phase where they strive to balance personal aspirations with new responsibilities. This very journey is being portrayed in Sun Neo’s show ‘Thodi Si Umeed, Thoda Sa Aasman’, where the lead character Vaidehi is preparing for her marriage while continuing her studies and exam preparations.
The ongoing storyline highlights Vaidehi’s efforts to maintain a balance between her wedding, education and family responsibilities. Through her journey, the show reflects the determination and resilience of women who continue to chase their dreams while fulfilling their commitments.
Talking about the current track, Aarti Birajdar, who plays the role of Vaidehi, said that the character’s journey represents the experiences of many women in real life.
“In the show, Vaidehi is getting married while also preparing for her exams. She is trying to move forward with two important milestones of her life together. I am portraying this story on screen, but in real life too, many girls manage education, careers, marriage and family responsibilities simultaneously. It is not easy to pursue dreams while taking care of responsibilities, yet many women do it every single day,” Aarti said.
She further shared that she has heard inspiring stories of women who appeared for their examinations even while dressed in their wedding attire.

“I have heard stories of girls who reached their examination centres in their bridal outfits, completed their exams and then returned to their wedding ceremonies. The courage and dedication required for such efforts are truly inspiring. I salute every girl who continues to pursue her dreams while fulfilling her responsibilities. They may seem ordinary, but their determination and hard work make them extraordinary,” she added.
Aarti emphasised that marriage should be viewed as a new beginning rather than an end to personal ambitions. “Marriage should never mean giving up on dreams,” she said.
‘Thodi Si Umeed, Thoda Sa Aasman’ airs every Monday to Saturday at 7:30 PM exclusively on Sun Neo.
